We specialize in colored wool for handspinners, mostly fine wools, long wools, and crosses – Merino and crosses, Corriedale crosses, Finns and crosses, Romneys and crosses, Border Leicester-Romney cross, and so on.
Our color selection includes black, moorit, browns, greys, silvers, cream, and white.
Our sheep have been covered all year to protect the fleece from sun bleaching, general weather damage, and debris. Fleeces may be reserved, and will be skirted and shipped shortly after shearing - reserved fleeces get priority handling after shearing. We shear when the fleece is ready; not by the calendar - a Merino may take 14 - 15 months to grow full fleece with nice staple length, while a Border Leicester or Finn-Lincoln may need shearing in 9 - 10 months. A partial listing of our fleeces is just a click away - updates coming soon!

Currently, we have a variety of rovings on hand in black, moorit, browns, greys, and white. Sample packets (up to 6 rovings, 1 ounce total) are available for $5.00, which can be applied toward your next purchase. A listing of currently available roving is right here.
Our 2007 shearing is done, and the fleeces are being skirted, graded, weighed, and photoed. Photos of sample locks for the sheep listed in the fleeces category will be available soon - just keep checking! Most of our sheep have been covered for the entire year this year, so our fleeces will be clean and free from sunburn and weathering. We skirt our fleeces ruthlessly, and deliver only beautiful fleeces that will be a joy to spin any way you wish - in the grease, or scoured and combed or carded. Our covered fleece prices range from $8 - $12 per pound, depending on the quality of the particular fleece.
You may reserve your fleece in advance, if you wish, with a $25.00 deposit. We will notify you when your fleece is available, and you may either pick it up in person, or we will ship it to you upon receipt of the balance due.
